During a snowy business trip to Obama I really needed to wind down, so I found this sento. It's out on a windy peninsula, in the middle of the fish market district, but unlike the surrounding area, the building of Hama No Yu has a nice atmosphere.

The baths themselves are on the third floor, as well as a diner with basic sento food. The building is new, but the baths are rather basic. The inside area contains a big hot bath with a whole list of beneficial minerals, a yakuzi type bath the is slightly colder, and a cold bath next to a medium sized sauna. Outside are two different herb baths.

The entrance price of 600 yen is a little steep for the size of the bathing area, but it got the job done of relaxing me and heating my snow tortured body to a normal temperature.
