This big public bath is built on top of a natural hot spring. In terms of facilities it's comparable to other Gokurakuyu outlets. In a kind of interesting twist (if you think about contruction and stuff) the bath is build on poles overlooking the JR line with parking area underneath. The floor is made of some dark timber, which gives the public areas a seventies atmosphere, but in the good sense of the word. The changing areas are located at the end of a dimly lit rustic corridor. Rows of coin lockers provide probably more storage than the bath fits people. The bathing area is divide into an indoor and an outdoor area of roughly equal size. This indoor area houses the regular baths, warm, cold and jet as well as the washing area. The outdoor area houses a steam sauna, a herb bath and a wooden bath with water from the natural hot spring. Kind of in between the indoor and outdoor area is the entrance to the sauna.

I quite enjoyed the experience of this bath and took probably about two hours to take it all in. JR Amagasaki station is about 10 minutes away. From the station take the north exit and walk east along the railroad for about 10 minutes. The entrance costs ¥700, a bit more than usual, presumably because of the onsen. Towels etc. are available for rent and soap and shampoo are freely available in the washing area.
