On an idle Saturday afternoon I decided to go and check out HAT Nagisa No Yu in Kobe\'s Nada ward, just east of Sannomiya. The building of this bath is nicely located in a small park on the harbour.

Coming in the first order of business is to take of your shoes and store them in a shoe locker. The key for this locker can be exchanged at the counter for a key to a locker in the dressing room. The inside of the building looks even nicer than the outside and appears quite new. First I have a bowl of udon in the downstairs restaurant and then I head upstairs to the bath. The inside bathing area is surprisingly small, with only two hot baths and a cold one. Through a small door in the wall I get to the sauna. After cooling off in the cold bath I decide to explore the outside bathing area. The outside makes up for the size of the smaller inside baths, with a variety of bubble and jet baths, a small Japanese garden and a great view of Kobe Port. There will be fireworks later on during the evening so I contemplate whether to stay in the bath and watch the fireworks from here or head back outside and walk a bit closer to the action. I decide I\'d like to go for a walk so I towel off and get out. While a little short, HAT Nagisa No Yu was a great experience and I definitely recommend it to anybody who is in the area.
